YOUR ZEN DESTINATION THIS SUMMER, THE BAAREE - SEASON OPENER FRIDAY, May 10th @ 4pm
Thiensville WI – (May 5th, 2019) – the baaree announced today that it will open its doors for the season on Friday, May 10th @ 4pm in downtown Thiensville. Owners Barkha and Jesse Daily have created a thoroughly unique ambiance to create a space for relaxing and unwinding.
Award-winning chef and restaurateur Barkha Daily will oversee the fantastic food program at the baaree – a Nepalese word which means "garden". “Look for a refined approach to classic beer garden offerings highlighting local meats, edible herbs and fruits planted in the garden,” said Barkha. Some of the menu items will include:
House made wild boar sausage, with a selection of other sausages sourced locally
Pulled Pork with red roselle steamed and toasted tingmo bun
the baaree salad with – lemon grass and persimmons vinaigrette
Butternut squash dip
the baaree menu will feature flavors that the cheel is renowned for. Ingredients of the menu include plants in the garden: red roselle, lemon grass, plums, holy basil, variety of peppers and more.
The cheel’s Operations and Bar Manager Drew Kassner will lead the beverage program and will also highlight fruits planted in the garden. The offer will feature some of the cheel favorites and some new cocktails including but not limited to:
Ice Cream Drinks:
the baaree Alexander - Sassy Cow vanilla bean ice cream, chia (Nepalese spiced tea) infused Paul Masson Brandy, dark crème de cacao
Rum Roselle - Sassy Cow vanilla bean ice cream, Plantation pineapple rum, maraschino liqueur, cherry bark vanilla bitters, red roselle syrup.
Milkshakes for kids
Birds and Bees - Rehorst gin, Tattersall Crème de fleur, lemon juice, honey syrup, seltzer
Down in Mexico - Sauza silver tequila, Orchard Apricot Liqueur, Hickory Smoked lemon juice and simple syrup.
Drew along with President of the United States Brewers’ Academy, Dr. David Ryder, are selecting 14 to 16 thirst quenching regional, national and international draft beers. Dr. Ryder, recently retired from MillerCoors LLC where he was the vice president – brewing, research & innovation and quality.
The beer garden will be open Tuesday through Sunday from 11am till 10 pm with express lunch options available for pick-up.
